Isabelle started dancing early, officially taking classes with Jean-Renat Anamah since she was 5 years old.
She represented Mauritius at the Kayfecc Festival with Karamba in Senegal at 10 years old.
Dancing is a way of being; comes naturally when she’s chilling in the kitchen or on the beach. In an attempt to create space for more joy and more “her” in life, she’s giving her dance more time and energy.
Isabelle also lets her voice come out through her pen in nonfiction essays.
Her first book ‘Wyrdo’ is available for rent. To her, the whole point is to heal, feel joy and f*ck sh*t up so good that we realize there are different ways to be, that the norm isn’t the only option.
Creating, dancing, writing her way to liberta.
