Born in 1999 on the island of Mauritius, Junior Marina began his musical journey at age eleven, crafting his first song, “Nou Destine,” at seventeen. In 2018, he showcased his talent as a finalist in the ‘Konpoz to Lamizik’ competition, organized by Attitude Hotels. The following year, his composition, accompanied by the captivating “Memories,” earned him performances at notable events like Dreamers X and La Isla 2068, as well as opening slots for renowned artists such as Alain Ramanisum and Jason Heerah.

In 2020, Marina showcased his skills in the Vibe Moris competition, receiving guidance from Linzy Bacbotte. Despite the challenges of the pandemic, he released his EP ‘SANDCASTLES’ in 2021, complemented by two music videos.

The momentum continued into 2023 as Marina collaborated on Mario Armel’s album ‘Valer lamitie – rev ‘suiv nu simin’ and contributed to the forthcoming short film ‘Holy Light’ alongside Reunion Island-based artists Syl Martin and Lokess.
